ALUMINUM SKID PLATES FOR HEAVY DUTY YET LIGHTWEIGHT PROTECTION.
At a total of 90 lbs, the total net weight is only 10 lbs more than factory skids but much heavier duty and more complete coverage.
Artec Industries' NEW JT Gladiator Bellypan is designed to give your 2020+ Jeep Gladiator full protection underneath the vehicle. Designed using CAD files directly from the manufacturer, this belly pan skid plate ensures that you have a great fit with factory components. Made from 1/4" thick 6061 Aluminum and 3/16" zinc plated steel, and CNC cut and formed, the Artec JT Bellypan Kit offers both a strong and lightweight solution for your new Jeep JT.
NOTE: 1.5"+ LIFT REQUIRED FOR USE WITH BELLYPAN
Adds only 10 lbs to net weight of vehicle yet covers far more and is heavier duty than factory skids
90 lbs total weight compared to the Steel version at 160 lbs...
a 44% weight savings
Increases ground clearance of 3/4" from factory skids and even more compared to other aftermarket skid plates
1/4" 6061 Aluminum for skid plates, 3/16"
zinc plated
steel brackets
Designed from factory CAD files for great and ultra precise fit.
CNC laser cut and CNC formed using custom rolled dies for high strength, unique look, and perfect contour fitment to OEM components.
All bolts under skid plate are countersunk for absolutely smooth bottom
All nuts are pressed into steel brackets for easy, one tool removal
Bolts directly to OEM T-case crossmember and frame using heavy duty flat head bolts that match OEM thread
No need for an aftermarket T-case crossmember for completely flat surface
Modular design lets you take off only one section for vehicle servicing
Protects Oil Pan, Transmission Pan, Gas Tank, Front Exhaust and Transfer Case
OEM gas tank skid is replaced for reduced weight and 3/4" higher clearance*
Artec Gas tank skid can be removed without dropping entire tank thanks to new additional cross-member and tank strap.
Clearance near rear drive yoke shaft to prevent rubbing
*OEM gas tank skid removal required. For easiest install, remove skid when tank is near empty. See instructions for simple ideas on removing OEM gas tank skid.

From what we have found the crossover pipe may need to be modified slightly by heating the crossover pipe with a small torch (map gas or propane ) and pinch the pipe some with a c clamp to clear the oil pan skid (don't worry it crushes down from the factory next to where you would need to pinch) A majority of JL/JT will not have the contact, but due to factory variance from Jeep's factory, there is a small amount of affected vehicles.
NOTE: This product requires general mechanics skills and should only be installed by someone capable of using basic tools. Artec Industries is not responsible for incorrect installation. By purchasing, the customer agrees that they are fully responsible for correct installation.

AWESOME skids!
After wheelin my Gladiator in the rocks, I was tired of dragging the stock skids on the rocks and getting hung up. Plus that noise of the stock skids dragging on rocks was horrible!! Since putting on my Artec skids, my Gladiator slides right over the rocks now and I didn't add a bunch of weight. The install was easy, I gained and inch of clearance, and there is nothing to hang up on. Great product and fit and finish was perfect! A must do mod for any Gladiator that wheels.

Q:
Why does this recommend: Note: 1.5 Inch and up lift recommended for use with bellypan? Is it clearance issues ? Does this work with manual transmissions?
Asked by:

A:
The bellypan does work with manual transmissions .
As far as the 1.5" lift needed it is for the pumpkin to clear the drive side front oil pan skid bracket without that lift it will contact when you hit a bump or dip .

Q:
Do I need to modify my exhaust system with this ?

- 6/22/2020
A:
It depends on the Vehicle, You may need to with the 3.6L. From what we have found the crossover pipe may need to be modified slightly by heating the crossover pipe with a small torch (map gas or propane ) and pinch the pipe some with a c clamp to clear the oil pan skid (don't worry it crushes down from the factory next to where you would need to pinch) Not all JL's and JT's with the 3.6L need this but some do.

Q:
Does the 1.5 inch lift comment apply to the mojave and rubicon as well that are already lifted from the factory or are we good?
Asked by:
Justin Miles
- 6/19/2021
A:
We have some customers that have installed them on Mojave's, however we have not personally test fitted one at our R&D facility the 1.5" lift is recommended for the axle housing to clear the oil skid mounting bracket with the additional height of the Mojave that may not be an issue but the bump stops may need to be adjusted.

The JT bellypan installs very much like the JL bellypan which is featured in the install video and written instructions below. Many of the parts are shared so you will see some parts labeled JL4101-x and some parts labeled JT4150-x. There are some differences and we are working on an updated video and written instructions for this but it takes a while. In the meantime, here are the differences.
In step 8, parts 4 and 5 use different hardware and attach slightly different than in the written instructions. Part 4 uses M10 hardware that is longer replaces the OEM hardware. Remove the OEM bolt on the front motor mount and thread in the new M10 bolt. It will pass down through the OEM captured nut and then you insert the top of bracket 4 and then loosely fasten with washer and nut. Part 5 attaches to the top of the motor mount bracket instead of underneath. Remove the OEM bolt from the front motor mounts and then place bracket5 on top of the motor mount and then install the OEM bolt again.
In step 9, the forward most hole on the gas tank skid is held on by a nutstrip JT4150-16 that is inserted into a slotted hole on the side of the frame just like you did in step 7 with part 12.
In step 9, on the gas tank skid, the hole right in front of the lower control arm bracket needs the aluminum spacer in between the frame and gas skid. Reuse factory bolt here.
