Did you buy a "winch ready" OEM steel bumper only to discover you can't mount a winch?

Artec Industries is excited to announce our new JL/JT Steel Bumper Winch Plate which gives you a mounting location for your winch in an OEM Steel Bumper. Our original winch plate was made from 3/16" but we had a couple situations where it was flexing so we changed to 1/4" thick steel and gusseted it a lot more to make it extremely rigid. Look at the competition out there using only 3/16" and you'll also notice areas of the winch plate without gussets and bends...these are weak points which have caused even Mopar to discontinue their original design. Our Winch Plate is designed using State-of-the-Art 3D modeling with files directly from JEEP, WARN and SUPERWINCH for a precise fit requiring no modification of your jeep to fit most winches. These brackets are hard powdercoated black for direct bolt-on installation and a long life. All this at a PHENOMENAL PRICE and manufactured in-house which means it's MADE IN THE USA!

Includes hardware for mounting the front face plate

*NOTE: Serial #2217394 and down Warn Zeon winches have a 180 deg turning clutch lever which interferes with the bumper but serial #2217395 and up are shipping with a 90 deg version. Warn has a retrofit 90 degree clutch kit available for older models...just call them at 1-800-543-9276 for part number 100240.

**NOTE: The Jeep JL/JT has very tight tolerances in this area. Please refer to the APPLICATION GUIDE TAB for tested models and dimensions.

NOTE: While all precautions are made to ensure the powdercoated surface is protected, small scratches from the shipping process may be present upon arrival.

Love Artec products

This review is for the JL steel bumper winch plate, though every Artec item I’ve bought is excellent as is the customer service. The winch plate was reasonably easy to install with good directions. And very sturdy. Mounted a Warn Zeon 1200S with no issues. Thanks Artec!

Winch plate

Great fit and finish! Insatlled with HF apex 12k winch. Had to trim winch handle for bumper fitment. Did not have to use the bumper spacer plates. Only reason for 4 stars is missing the 5 m8x1.25 nuts to re-install the bolts for the removed cover plate . The Warn kit includes these nuts.

Great mount

Great mount. Very solid. My advice is not to tighten the inner bolts until last otherwise the two bumper mounts(ladder frame) will squeeze together and you will have to grind a section of the bumper chasys mount. The stainless cover plate is a bit on the thin side

I ordered the winch plate for my gladiator's stock steel bumper. Shipping was great!!! Ordered on Monday and received it on Thursday. Installation was easy, fit right in. Installed a Smittybilt XRC gen 3 winch. With the spacers installed it almost fit perfectly. I had to cut the bottom trim fit the wiring but the overall installation looks good. I like the 1/4inch steel, it should be very tough. I hope I never have to use my winch, but I know when I do it’s not going anywhere! The only thing I would change is, offer the front plate in black. Thanks guys. PS the artaco is awesome.

Awesome design.

I had a competitors winch plate on that like most you need 3 hands to install. The winch never quite fit right in the factory bumper even with modification. Ordered this one and install was straight forward and easy. Winch (VR10) fits great with no issues. Impressing with how low the winch sits in the factory bumper.

I am extremely pleased with the Artec JL winch mount. It is very beefy, works well with my Smittybilt X20 10K winch, and the install was super easy. Given the install issues I've heard about with other popular stock steel bumper winch mounts on the market, I was very relieved at how well everything fit without needing to bend or grind anything and most importantly, the quality is top notch. Q: Will this fit the new Jeep 4xe with a Warn Zeon 10-S. I ordered the 90 degree clutch retrofit.

A: We have not test fit the JL5609 on the 4xE yet from all of the information we have from Our Contacts at Jeep it should work with no issues .
